Houthis claim attack on Saudi tanker Wafa near Yanbu port
Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed on 5 August that the group successfully targeted the Saudi-flagged tanker Wafa (believed to be NCC Wafa) off Yanbu with ballistic missiles, marking the eighth Saudi tanker hit since their blockade began on 22 July. The Houthis stated they will escalate attacks on Red Sea vessels to prevent access to Yanbu port, which has become a major Saudi crude export outlet following regional disruptions.
