Corío Project: US$ 844 Million Investment for a Port City in Peru
ProInversión and the Regional Government of Arequipa have formally included Corío in their Public-Private Partnerships portfolio. The investment in port infrastructure will require US$ 844.4 million, but the project encompasses over 34,000 hectares for distribution centers, an industrial zone, and an airport. Investors from the US, China, India, Turkey, and South Korea have already expressed interest. The port could be operational within 7 to 10 years.
