Comoros-Flagged Cargo Vessel Attacked by Drone in Black Sea
The Comoros-flagged dry cargo vessel Volgo Balt 226 was targeted in a drone attack in the Black Sea on 20 August. The vessel carried 11 crew members comprising 10 Azerbaijani seafarers and 1 Georgian national, all reported safe following the incident. Despite being targeted, the 1980-built cargo vessel remained operational and continued sailing toward Trabzon, Turkey. The ship is operated by Marshall Islands-based Primavera Marine.
