DP World to develop 10,000-hectare deep sea port and economic zone in Nigeria

DP World, the Ogun State Government and Ogun Deep Sea Port Company Ltd signed two MOUs on 01 October 2026 to develop a greenfield deep sea port and special economic zone across a 10,000-hectare site in Ogun State, Nigeria. The project, located along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, is expected to create over 50,000 direct employment opportunities and establish a major maritime and trade hub connecting Nigerian businesses to global markets.
