SAG Inspections Up 51% in Bio Bio Region Ports
The Agricultural and Livestock Service (SAG) increased inspections of agricultural and livestock products by 51% in ports of the Bio Bio Region, in response to vessel diversions due to bad weather. From January to July 2026, 1,632 tons of seeds were imported through regional port facilities, mainly from New Zealand, Germany, and Denmark. SAG rejected a 10-ton lot of Lolium due to non-compliance with regulations.
