The Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy of the Nation reports that, between August and October of this year, based on the commercialization of more than 15,500 head, the prices of male bovine breeding stock (bulls) were 61% in pesos and 57% in dollars higher than the results of the same period in 2025, confirming a consolidation of good expectations for the national livestock sector.
In this regard, the average value in the aforementioned period was $9,770,983 and USD 6,324 in 2026, compared to $6,056,272 and USD 4,038, corresponding to the same period in 2025.
These results respond to the interest of breeders and producers in improving the efficiency and genetic quality of their herds, in a context of greater climatic stability and better forage prospects. This is further boosted by the option of using the benefits of the Medium Investment Incentive Regime (RIMI), which allows producers to fully amortize these breeding animals in the same period they acquire them. This price improvement reflects a real recovery in the value of breeding stock, accompanied by a climate of confidence in the sector.
In summary, the 2026 data show that Argentine livestock farming continues in a cycle of positive expectations, where investment in genetics is consolidated as a strategic long-term bet.
