Tandanor Recovers Syncrolift Operability for Deeper Draft Vessels
The Argentine shipyard Tandanor completed the first comprehensive intervention on the Syncrolift since 1979, eliminating draft restrictions accumulated over decades. By extracting more than 23,000 cubic meters of mud, the permissible draft increased from 4.10 to 5.80 meters, and operational availability jumped from 10% to 95% annually. Upon completion, 99.5% availability and a 6.20-meter draft are expected to be achieved.
