The activity took place on October 1, virtually, within the framework of the cooperation and international academic exchange actions maintained by the Institution with organizations linked to the maritime field.
During the day, representatives of the Force presented "The application of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW-78 amended)", aimed at students of the Master's and Doctorate in Maritime and Port Administration and the Specialization in Law of the Sea and Maritime Law of CESNAV-SEMAR.
The presentation allowed to publicize Argentina's experience in the implementation of this international convention and, particularly, the work carried out by the national Maritime Authority in terms of training, titling and certification of the competencies of Merchant Marine personnel.
The meeting was developed from the academic ties established between both institutions, within the framework of the recent graduation of an officer of the Prefectura Naval Argentina from the Centro de Estudios Superiores Navales de México.
The initiative allowed to strengthen the exchange of knowledge and experiences in maritime matters and consolidate international cooperation ties in areas related to navigation safety, professional training and the development of Merchant Marine personnel.
