APM Terminals Callao to Invest USD 231 Million in North Terminal Expansion
Peruvian Minister of Transport, José Angello Tangherlini, visited APM Terminals Callao to review the expansion project of the North Multipurpose Terminal. The project includes the construction of Pier 5C with an investment of USD 231 million. This new infrastructure, 440 meters long and 16 meters deep, will allow the terminal to handle vessels over 20,000 TEU and increase its operational capacity to 1.7 million TEU annually. The project also plans to increase electrical connections for reefer containers by 25%, reaching 2,000 points, thus strengthening the logistics chain for agro-exports.
