LNG Tanker Attack in Strait of Hormuz Challenges US-Iran Agreement

The Al Rekayyat, a Qatari LNG carrier owned by Nakilat, was struck by a projectile about 8 nautical miles east of Limah, Oman, on Tuesday, marking the first attack on a Qatari LNG tanker since the war began. The incident raised concerns among shipowners and tested an interim peace deal signed last month. European gas prices climbed as much as 6% following the attack.
