During a tour of Vaso I of the Cuyutlán Lagoon, the Director General of the National Port System Administration Manzanillo (ASIPONA) and the Coordinator of Puerto Nuevo Manzanillo met with members of the aquaculture cooperatives Pescadores, Maricultores y Acuacultores de Campos; Productores Acuícolas en su Mesa 365; and Acuacultores del Vaso I de la Laguna de Cuyutlán.
The meeting addressed various concerns related to the development of aquaculture activities, including the increase in the cost of shrimp larva acquisition, the silting conditions of Vaso I of the Cuyutlán Lagoon, and the maintenance needs of the production cages.
Likewise, topics related to technology transfer, training, access to inputs, and technical and operational aspects related to infrastructure for shrimp larva production were discussed.
