NewNew Shipping Line Delivers First Container Cargo to Murmansk via Arctic Route
Chinese operator NewNew Shipping Line delivered its first containerized cargo to Murmansk via the Northern Sea Route on August 19, with the 29,000-dwt Xin Xin Hai 1 carrying approximately 500 containers of automotive components from Tianjin. The company targets 12 voyages between China and Arkhangelsk in 2026 and plans to invest up to 200 billion rubles ($2.5 billion) in Arctic port infrastructure, while South Korea and India prepare their own pilot voyages through the route.
