Russian Strikes Force Shipowners to Suspend Black Sea Port Calls in Ukraine
Shipowners have halted vessel arrivals at Ukraine's Black Sea ports due to intensified Russian strikes on logistics and port infrastructure in the Odesa region. Russia struck 28 civilian vessels and killed 21 people from June 20 to July 20, according to Odesa regional prosecutors. Ukraine has lost about a third of its capacity to export grain via Black Sea ports, though agriculture minister Taras Vysotskyi highlighted alternative routes via Danube ports and railway dry ports.
