First Seaspan-Hapag Boxship Completes Dual-Fuel Methanol Conversion
The Seaspan Yangtze, a 10,100 TEU containership operating for Hapag-Lloyd, completed its conversion to dual-fuel methanol capabilities at COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry's Shanghai yard on June 1, 2026. The conversion, part of a $120 million project involving five vessels, was completed ahead of schedule after nearly three months. The ship will resume sailing from Ningbo on June 10, heading to New York and Norfolk.
