Adif awards Júndiz intermodal terminal to consortium with Medlog and Bilbao

Adif awarded the lease of the spaces and facilities of the Júndiz intermodal terminal, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, to a consortium led by Medlog and the Port of Bilbao.

According to Ports Europe, the awardee is a joint venture bringing together the ports of Bilbao and Pasaia, Medlog, and three other partners, including the Centro de Transportes de Vitoria. The joint venture will operate an area of around 55,000 square meters, with three rail tracks dedicated to loading and unloading operations.

According to Ports Europe, the award was valued at 2.3 million euros and beat out a joint bid submitted by Railsider, Transitalia, and Kombiverkehr.
