Adora Cruises announced that it will introduce family-themed cabins aboard the Adora Flora City, a vessel scheduled for delivery on November 6, with bookings already open.
Immersive experience
The cabins aim to create an interactive space for families, featuring personalized door signs and themed exterior decor. Younger passengers will be able to take part in an exclusive activity to meet the officers on the bridge and learn about navigation, as well as gain access to specialty restaurants and the Adora Sea Market. At the end of the cruise, children will receive a Captain Adora plush toy, a card holder, and a set of toiletries.
Educational activities
During the voyage, children will be able to learn about flowers from different parts of the world and join their families in a workshop inspired by the cultural tradition of the twelve monthly flowers, creating their own floral calendars. The ship will also offer a kids' club with activities, including the Lion Cub Camp, featuring an African drumming workshop, lion-shaped hand puppets, face painting, arts and crafts, and a themed parade.
Ship specifications
The Adora Flora City measures 341 meters in length overall, has a gross tonnage of 141,900 GT, features 2,130 staterooms, and can accommodate up to 5,232 passengers. It was built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding and is the second large cruise ship built in China, following its sister ship Adora Magic City, incorporating improvements in space design, smart technology, and the onboard experience.
Crew and maiden voyage
On October 1, around 600 crew members began boarding, the first group of a complement that will total nearly 1,300 people before the maiden voyage. The Adora Flora City will set sail for the first time from the port of Guangzhou Nansha on November 22, with Hong Kong as its first port of call, a city that will also serve as a homeport for around 20 cruises during 2027.
