Anthem of the Seas Returns to Sydney for Second Summer Season

Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas returned to Sydney to begin its second summer season in Australia. The cruise line will offer 21 itineraries combining short South Pacific getaways with longer voyages to New Zealand, in what it described as its most ambitious summer program in the region.
Itineraries and destinations
From Sydney, passengers will be able to choose from five sailings along Australia's east coast, with cruises ranging from three to eight nights calling at Hobart and Queensland. There will also be seven- to nine-night voyages through the South Pacific, with port calls at Nouméa (New Caledonia), Port Vila and Mystery Island (Vanuatu), as well as nine- to twelve-night itineraries to New Zealand, visiting Picton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and the Milford Sound fjords.
Gavin Smith, Vice President and Managing Director of Royal Caribbean for Australia and New Zealand, said that following a successful debut in the region, the company is bringing Anthem of the Seas back to offer a more active season, with a mix of short getaways, South Pacific voyages and New Zealand adventures that allow families to choose their own style of vacation without having to unpack more than once.
Onboard offering
The ship, built in 2015, features attractions such as the RipCord by iFly skydiving simulator, the FlowRider surf simulator and the North Star observation capsule, along with dining options including Izumi, Chops Grille and Wonderland. In the evenings, the entertainment lineup includes Royal Caribbean's production of the Queen musical "We Will Rock You," as well as the Vitality spa and the adults-only Solarium.
Quantum of the Seas and family offerings
At the same time, Royal Caribbean will strengthen its Quantum Class lineup with Quantum of the Seas, which will sail from Brisbane on 28 itineraries ranging from three to nine nights along the Queensland coast and the South Pacific. Both ships will also bring back The Wiggles-themed vacations, featuring the Wiggly Friends in family experiences that include live concerts, character meet-and-greets and exclusive merchandise.
