AVS Global Ship Supply developed AVS+, a digital platform designed to give vessel managers greater visibility and control over ship procurement by integrating orders, expenses, inventory and operational records into a single system.
The platform seeks to address a common problem in maritime procurement, where orders, quotes, invoices and operational information are often scattered across emails, phone calls and separate files, making it difficult for managers to determine the status of an order or to get an up-to-date view of a vessel's expenses.
Key features
Through AVS+, customers can manage provisions, technical stores and port services via a single web application. Orders are submitted using standardized templates and transferred directly into the system, allowing their progress to be tracked at every stage. Fleet information is presented through interactive map and list views, with access to operational records and invoices from a central repository, while companies can set fleet-wide procurement and catering parameters, such as provisioning rates, portion weights and delivery lead times, with the flexibility to adjust them on a per-vessel basis.
Inventory management and reporting
The platform also incorporates onboard inventory management, integrated with purchasing and consumption records, allowing users to log and review stock levels; according to Splash 247, this integration can potentially help operators spot shortages and avoid unnecessary orders. The reporting tools cover consumption, budget performance, price history and catering analytics, with export options in PDF or Excel formats, enabling expenses and operational performance to be monitored throughout the month rather than relying on manual reconciliation after a reporting period.
Executive statements
Doğukan Şimşek, General Manager of AVS Global Ship Supply, noted that procurement teams typically handle a large volume of information scattered across different vessels, ports and supply requirements, and that AVS+ brings that information together in one place to provide a clearer view of orders, budgets and the status of the entire fleet. Şimşek added that the goal is not simply to digitize an existing process, but to give vessel managers better information while decisions are being made, rather than having to reconstruct it afterward.
According to the sources, AVS+ is part of the company's broader investment in digital services aimed at making ship supply operations more efficient and transparent, combining operational, commercial and inventory data in order to improve budget control and consistency in fleet procurement.
