Brazil's Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPor), the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) and the Special Secretariat of the Investment Partnerships Program of the Civil House (Seppi) are organizing a roadshow on October 19 and 20 to present potential investors with the concession opportunities for Brasília International Airport and ten other regional airports. The concession auction is scheduled for December 17, 2026.
Meetings and Format
The event includes one-on-one meetings of up to 60 minutes with interested parties, designed to go over project details, address questions and bring the market closer to the process ahead of the competitive bidding stage. According to Transporte Moderno, meetings on October 19 will be held in person at ANAC's headquarters in São Paulo, while the following day sessions will be held virtually; investors were required to register through an online form by Friday, October 16.
Investment Amounts
The renegotiated contract calls for around R$2.06 billion in investments. Of that total, R$1.2 billion will go to Brasília Airport, for the construction of a new international terminal, a parking structure and a new access road, while R$857.8 million will be allocated to the ten regional terminals included in the package.
Regional Airports and the AmpliAR Program
The regional airports included are located in the states of Goiás, Bahia, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná, and their inclusion is part of the Private Investment Program for Regional Airports (AmpliAR), driven by MPor to attract private capital and improve air connectivity in the country's interior.
