Celebrity Cruises has opened bookings for the inaugural season of Celebrity Xcite, the sixth ship in its Edge series, which will debut in 2028 with seven-night Caribbean cruises from Miami. The new vessel joins nine other company ships sailing the region, forming what the brand describes as its largest Caribbean deployment to date.
Construction and itineraries
Celebrity Xcite is under construction at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. During its inaugural season, the ship will offer rotating itineraries including St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic. Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises, noted that the Caribbean is guests' favorite destination and that Xcite's debut, along with the increased presence of Edge-series ships in the region, aims to offer new ways to experience these destinations.
Sale dates and short getaways
Bookings for winter 2028-2029 departures opened on November 3, 2026, while summer 2028 itineraries will be available starting December 9, 2026. As part of the same deployment, Celebrity Beyond will become the first Edge-series ship to offer short getaways, with nine three-night departures from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas between November 2028 and March 2029. Eclipse will offer weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale, and Summit will sail four- to five-night itineraries from Miami, with some departures visiting Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau. Additionally, new dining concepts including Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol and Bora will debut aboard Beyond in November 2026.
Longer itineraries
Among the longer cruises, Beyond will offer eight- to eleven-night departures with destinations including St. Kitts and Nevis, Martinique, Barbados, St. Lucia and Antigua, plus six Panama Canal crossings. Ascent will sail nine- to twelve-night itineraries to Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, St. Lucia, Martinique, St. Maarten, Barbados, Antigua and the Turks and Caicos Islands, while Eclipse will add eleven-night departures from Fort Lauderdale. Xcel will offer six- and eight-night cruises with itineraries to the southern Caribbean (Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao) and the western Caribbean (Mexico, Honduras and Grand Cayman).
Year-round departures
The deployment will cover four Florida ports -Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral and Tampa- in addition to operations from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Silhouette will sail its first full summer season to the southern Caribbean, calling at Barbados, Martinique, St. Lucia and Grenada, and will then offer seven-night departures from San Juan with five port days per cruise. Reflection, following its scheduled refurbishment in March 2027, will continue year-round operations from Fort Lauderdale with six- to eight-night itineraries, while Apex will return to Port Canaveral and Constellation will operate from Tampa with seven-night departures.
