The Dock Sud Port Management Consortium began classes for Aula Puerto, a training program that has already brought together more than 200 enrollees. The first courses cover Leadership, English Applied to Foreign Trade, and Health and Safety, three areas linked to the current needs of the productive sector.
During the opening of the activities, the Consortium's president, Mónica Litza, stated that the world of work is changing rapidly and that this transformation is evident daily in ports. Litza explained that Aula Puerto was designed as an educational policy in its own right, one that will allow enrollees, many of them young people, to understand and interpret these changes.
Course Content
The Leadership course aims to develop communication skills and team management abilities, while English Applied to Foreign Trade focuses on the use of the language in commercial and port-related contexts. The Health and Safety course, meanwhile, addresses risk prevention and the promotion of safe working conditions.
An Institutional Strategy
Aula Puerto is part of an institutional strategy by the Consortium aimed at bringing the port closer to the community and contributing, through education, to the development of the region's productive fabric. The program seeks to strengthen participants' skills and support them through the changes affecting employment and port activities.
With the start of classes, Dock Sud Port is moving forward in consolidating Aula Puerto as a training space designed to create new opportunities and prepare participants to face the challenges of the new world of work.
