Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy announced the official delivery of the Carlotta Cosulich, an 8,585 DWT methanol-ready bunker tanker, built by Chinese shipyard Taizhou Maple Leaf Shipyard. The announcement was made on Wednesday, October 28.
The Carlotta Cosulich is the third of four methanol-ready IMO II sister vessels being developed under Fratelli Cosulich Marine Energy's fleet expansion program, following the previous deliveries of the Anna Cosulich and the Lucia Cosulich. According to Ship Bunker, the vessel had been launched in August.
The tanker is designed to support a range of bunkering operations and future marine fuel market requirements, combining operational reliability, safety and fuel flexibility. Among its technical features are MarineLine cargo tank coating, single point mooring (SPM) capability and a 5-tonne crane.
With this delivery, the group moves closer to completing its four-vessel program. Both Ship Bunker and Hellenic Shipping News noted that the Carlotta Cosulich will now undergo a final preparation phase before entering service.
