MSC Cruises unveiled the entertainment lineup for its new ship MSC World Asia, which will include six theatrical productions, four of them brand-new, spread across the World Theatre and the Panorama Lounge. The ship, the third vessel in the line's World Class series, will begin operating seven-night Mediterranean cruises starting December 4, 2026, with port calls in Barcelona, Marseille, Genoa, Civitavecchia (Rome), Messina and Valletta.
New productions in the World Theatre
The World Theatre will premiere three shows: 'La NoTte,' which blends music, dance and cinematic storytelling; 'Sensoria,' a show that engages all five senses through music, movement and circus arts; and 'Ritmo Divino,' which fuses the passion of flamenco with a modern take on traditional Spanish folklore. These will be joined by the return of 'Hall of Fame,' MSC's signature live concert, which, according to Seatrade Cruise, will make its Mediterranean debut.
Symphonic shows in the Panorama Lounge
The Panorama Lounge will feature 'Sunset Symphonic,' a new orchestral production that reinterprets pop and dance anthems with choreography and aerial acts, while 'Queen Symphonic' will return, revisiting Queen's greatest hits with a 36-piece symphony orchestra, live rock band, singers, dancers and acrobats. The line also noted that 33 musicians will perform daily across various venues on board, including roving musicians, soloists, live bands and the dueling pianos experience.
Statements from company executives
Steve Leatham, Vice President of Entertainment at MSC Cruises, said that MSC World Asia invites guests to experience the 'Art of Crossing' through a mix of new and returning world-class entertainment. Meanwhile, Stephanie Jansen, Senior Director of Creative and Theatrical Entertainment at the company, explained that MSC Creative Studios brought together top-tier creative talent to develop original productions aimed at ranking among the best live entertainment experiences in the world.
The ship and its itinerary
MSC World Asia, which recently completed its final sea trials, will feature 13 new experiences and redesigned spaces compared to the first ship in the World Class series, MSC World Europa, according to Cruise Industry News and Seatrade Cruise.
