Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) opened bookings for the Norwegian Bella, which will sail seven-day round-trip itineraries through the Mediterranean from the port of Barcelona starting in May 2028. The ship's inaugural season will include calls at Rome (Civitavecchia), Florence (Livorno) and Salerno, in Italy; Marseille, in France; and Palma de Mallorca, in Spain.
A Sister Ship to the Norwegian Aura
The Norwegian Bella is the sixth and final ship in NCL's Prima class. It will measure around 1,129 feet in length, have a gross tonnage of 170,000 tons, and accommodate 3,921 passengers in double occupancy, making it, alongside the Norwegian Aura, the largest ship in the line's fleet. Both vessels are currently under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Monfalcone, Italy, with interiors designed by AD Associates, Piero Lissoni, Rockwell Group, SMC Design and Studio Dado.
Norwegian Cruise Line President Marc Kazlauskas noted that the Norwegian Bella marks a landmark moment for the fleet as the culmination of the Prima class, bringing together the experiences most requested by guests on a single ship, with enhanced outdoor spaces, family attractions and relaxation areas designed to give passengers freedom and flexibility.
New Onboard Attractions
Onboard, the Norwegian Bella will offer experiences similar to those of the Norwegian Aura, the line's newest ship, due for delivery in May 2027. Highlights include Ocean Heights, a multi-level open-air complex spanning decks 18 through 21 with slides, a ropes course and a mini-golf course. The Ocean Boulevard, which wraps around the entire ship on deck eight, is being expanded with more seating and gives way to Infinity Beach, while the pool deck is more than 15% larger than those on the Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. The ship will also feature 159 suites within The Haven by Norwegian, designed by Piero Lissoni, along with the Vibe Beach Club, the line's adults-only exclusive space.
Hull Art
The hull of the Norwegian Bella will feature an original design by contemporary Australian artist George Rose, continuing NCL's tradition of partnering with renowned artists to create iconic artwork on its fleet's hulls.
