Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH) announced the expansion of its relationship with technology provider Versonix, under which all three of its cruise brands will operate the Seaware booking platform. Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Oceania Cruises will adopt the system for the first time, while Norwegian Cruise Line will upgrade its existing platform to the latest available generation.
Platform Scope
Seaware serves as the technology backbone for bookings, inventory management, pricing and distribution across the group's brands. According to Versonix, in addition to modernizing core booking capabilities, the platform aims to enhance the guest experience with more personalized booking options, improved digital interactions and a simpler journey from trip planning through embarkation.
Executive Statements
Daniel Henry, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of NCLH, noted that strong partnerships are built on shared accountability and execution, and that together with Versonix they are committed to driving this transformation forward in a way that delivers lasting value for the brands and guests. For his part, Yuri Polissky, Chief Operating Officer of Versonix, said the company is proud to deepen its relationship with NCLH and to support the next stage of its technology strategy.
Fleet Context
The expansion comes as NCLH prepares for significant fleet growth. The group currently operates 33 vessels with approximately 72,000 berths across Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and its orderbook includes 16 additional ships scheduled for delivery through 2037, which will add roughly 43,000 additional berths.
Versonix did not disclose the value of the expanded agreement or provide implementation timelines for Oceania and Regent, according to Splash Cruise.
