Noatum Logistics, the logistics division of AD Ports Group, announced that it has doubled its truck fleet to surpass 850 units as part of its regional growth strategy in the Middle East and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The investment significantly expands the company's owned fleet and aims to consolidate Noatum Logistics as a leading global and regional logistics player.
New Units and Emission Standards
The new units were brought in in batches over the past six months, are fuel-efficient and comply with the Euro 5 emissions standard. They have already been fully integrated into the company's regional operations, which now boast one of the largest and most modern heavy transport fleets in the United Arab Emirates, enabling it to serve customers across regional borders with greater efficiency and operational control.
Cross-Border Trucking as an In-House Capability
The fleet reinforcement, largely owned and operated by Noatum Logistics in the GCC, underpins its freight forwarding, contract logistics and project logistics service portfolio. The company noted that the expansion will allow it to offer cross-border overland transport as an in-house capability, opening up new opportunities for customers with land-based supply chain needs in the region.
Statements and Multimodal Service
Thorsten Pook, Managing Director of Noatum Logistics for the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and the CIS, said the investment is not just about adding trucks, but about building capabilities that allow the company to stay close to its customers, provide greater certainty and efficiency in their supply chains, and respond quickly to market changes. The company has combined the reach of its expanded fleet with its shuttle train service connecting Khalifa Port and the Fujairah terminals, offering a multimodal solution that, according to the company, has already proven effective during recent regional disruptions by enabling alternative customs-cleared land corridors to unaffected maritime and air hubs.
Digital Monitoring
Noatum Logistics is also investing in advanced digital monitoring capabilities: every vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking and connected to a centralized control tower, providing real-time visibility into fleet performance, transit status and asset utilization, enabling customers to better track their shipments and gain greater control over their supply chains.
