OneLearn Global (OLG), a member of OneCare Group, and the organization RINA have announced a partnership to offer an integrated maritime training proposition that combines technical competence, digital learning, human performance and seafarer wellbeing. According to the companies, the agreement seeks to broaden access to high-quality education in order to strengthen professional competence and workforce resilience in the maritime sector.
Platform exchange
As part of the agreement, selected courses from the RINA Learning Hub will be made available through OLG's learning platform (Learning Experience Platform), while OLG courses will be offered through RINA's learning portal. The initial rollout will focus on Greece and Singapore, with the possibility of expanding to other markets.
Training content
The combined offering will cover areas such as vessel operations, maritime inspections, safety, cybersecurity, energy, environmental compliance and maritime regulation, alongside mental health, fatigue management, psychological safety, leadership and workplace wellbeing. Sources note that the collaboration comes at a time when decarbonization, digitalization, cybersecurity and increasingly complex regulation are transforming technical roles across the industry.
Statements
Marinos Kokkinis, CEO of OneCare Group, stated that the maritime workforce of the future will need more than technical competence, as seafarers and shore-based professionals must manage new technologies, new fuels and shifting regulations, meaning training must address both the person and the profession. For his part, Spyridon Zolotas, RINA's Maritime Vice President for Southern Europe, said that the skills required in the industry are evolving rapidly in response to technological change, the energy transition and new regulatory requirements, and that the collaboration with OLG broadens access to RINA's specialized training while complementing it with learning focused on human performance and wellbeing.
