Peru's Minister of Transport and Communications, Angello Tangherlini Casal, met with Rafael Del Campo Quintana, president of the National Council of Users of the International Physical Distribution System (CONUDFI), with the aim of discussing proposals to strengthen public-private coordination in the country's logistics sector.
Meeting Participants
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister of Transport Gabriela Carrasco, along with representatives from the General Directorate of Transport Programs and Projects (DGPPT) and Provías Nacional (PVN), both agencies under the MTC.
Technical Agenda and Logistics Gaps
During the meeting, a technical agenda was presented aimed at identifying and prioritizing gaps in logistics corridors linked to ports, airports and transport infrastructure. The proposal calls for defining solutions, responsible parties, timelines and monitoring mechanisms, taking into account the needs of system users.
Framework Collaboration Agreement
The basis for evaluating a possible framework collaboration agreement between the MTC and CONUDFI was also presented. Among the proposed actions are validating the technical agenda, appointing a technical counterpart from the MTC and assessing a work plan, as well as establishing clear roles and responsibilities under criteria of transparency.
