Six officers from the PortCastelló Port Police took part, for the first time in the port's history, in an official course run by the Valencian Institute of Public Safety and Emergencies (IVASPE) on 'Alcohol and Drug Detection,' training aimed at both local police officers and port police officers.
Institutional agreement
The initiative stemmed from coordination between the Port Authority of Castellón and the Generalitat Valenciana, through IVASPE, with the aim of expanding the training opportunities available to Port Police personnel and security and emergency services staff.
Specialized, ongoing training
With this course, PortCastelló is committed to specialized, ongoing training adapted to society's evolving needs, helping to enhance the Port Police's capabilities to respond effectively to the security challenges posed by port operations.
Training content
The training will allow officers to stay up to date in areas such as new technologies, operational security, emergency management, and police techniques—knowledge considered essential for meeting current challenges and providing an effective response to situations that may arise within the port area.
