Official Statements
Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava noted that the upcoming season reflects the lasting strength of cruise tourism in the county and that the industry, born in Miami, continues to thrive. Meanwhile, PortMiami Director and CEO Jonathan Daniels highlighted that the port's continued momentum reflects its long-standing partnerships with cruise brands, and that the arrival of this diverse array of ships reinforces Miami's legacy as the heart of the modern cruise industry, while also supporting tourism and economic growth in the region.
Recommendations for Passengers
PortMiami advised travelers to park in the garage or lot assigned to their ship to facilitate the start of their journey, and asked that they arrive only during their scheduled boarding time. It also noted that those accessing Terminals AA, A, B, C or D must enter through the PortMiami tunnel, while passengers for Terminals E, F, J or V must enter via the PortMiami bridge, measures aimed at maintaining orderly traffic flow.
The Port's Economic Weight
According to the port's own data, PortMiami is recognized as the Cruise Capital of the World and is one of Miami-Dade's most important economic engines, contributing $61 billion annually to the local economy and supporting more than 340,000 jobs. Seatrade Cruise added that during fiscal year 2026, which ended on September 30, Miami regained the title of the world's busiest cruise port, with more than 10 million passenger movements.
