Princess Cruises announced a series of holiday cruises for the 2026 year-end season, with destinations in Hawaii, the Caribbean, Mexico and the Panama Canal. The cruise line presented the offering as an alternative for celebrating the holidays at sea, combining voyages to different points across the Americas and the Pacific with a special onboard program.
Itineraries and dates
Among the confirmed sailings is a seven-day Mexican Riviera cruise aboard the Discovery Princess, round-trip from Los Angeles from November 21 to 28, 2026. The Caribbean Princess will sail a 12-day Panama Canal voyage with calls in Costa Rica and the Caribbean, departing from Fort Lauderdale from December 17 to 29. The Regal Princess will offer a six-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary with a stop at Celebration Key, also departing from Fort Lauderdale starting December 20. Meanwhile, the Ruby Princess will sail a 16-day voyage through the Hawaiian Islands, departing from San Francisco on December 26, 2026, and returning on January 11, 2027.
Onboard programming
Denise Saviss, Vice President of Entertainment at Princess Cruises, said that holiday magic begins the moment passengers start packing their bags, and described the ships as spaces rooted in traditions that create shared moments. Holiday decorations featuring trees, garlands, lights and floral arrangements will be set up across the entire fleet, along with tree-lighting celebrations: Sphere-class and Royal-class ships will feature a version led by the full entertainment cast, while the rest of the ships will offer more intimate performances led by vocalists.
Festive activities and dining
The program includes ugly sweater parties with silent discos, candlelight concerts and caroling, along with the Festive Family Fair, gingerbread house making and Story Time with Stanley. Aboard the Star Princess and Sun Princess, guests will also enjoy the Piazza Magical Moments show, featuring artificial snow and LED screen projections, as well as holiday movie screenings during Movies Under the Stars and in staterooms. The dining offerings include special menus with turkey-carving demonstrations, cookies, cocktails and hot chocolate stations, along with religious services held during the holiday period.
According to the cruise line and PRNewswire, sailings between Thanksgiving and New Year's are filling up quickly, although limited space is still available. Princess Cruises has also opened bookings for its 2027 holiday cruises for those looking to reserve further in advance.
