The Port Authority of València (APV) awarded the rehabilitation works on the metal structure of the elevated promenade located on the north breakwater of La Marina at the Port of València. The temporary joint venture formed by Sorigue Acsa Conservación de Infraestructuras and Acsa Obras e Infraestructuras was named successful bidder for the project, which has a budget of 2,257,841.15 euros, VAT included, and an execution period of 15 months from the formalization of the contract.
Scope of the works
The works include cleaning, repairing and treating the metal structure to reinforce its preservation, as well as repairing the benches and the pergola located at the end of the promenade, near the port's entrance channel. The access stairs, railings and lighting will also be upgraded, with the aim of enhancing the safety and functionality of the pedestrian walkway.
Environmental conditions
The tender includes special environmental execution conditions aimed at promoting the use of renewable energy, meaning the use of electric generators and compressors powered by combustion engines will be avoided. In addition, materials suitable for reuse must be managed through an authorized waste manager.
Port-city interaction
This project adds to other port-city interaction initiatives undertaken or planned by the Port Authority of València in the La Marina area, including improvements at the Muelle de la Aduana, works in the area around the Edificio del Reloj, and the project to relocate the old lighthouse.
