Meyer Werft appoints André Walter as new CEO replacing Bernd Eikens
André Walter became CEO of Meyer Werft on July 1, 2026, replacing Bernd Eikens, who retired on June 30, 2026. Coming from the aviation industry, Walter previously served as Chairman of the Management Board of Airbus Aerostructures and Airbus in Hamburg. He will lead the company alongside Chief Restructuring Officer Ralf Schmitz and Chief Operating Officer Jörg Heidelberg, continuing the restructuring path expected to conclude by the end of 2028.
