Iran and Oman Reach In-Principle Agreement on Hormuz Strait
Iran and Oman have reached an in-principle understanding on maritime traffic management through the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi. The arrangement may remain valid for two to four months and includes maps for shipping entry and exit routes. However, Tehran cautioned that the bilateral deal does not mean full reopening of the strait and emphasized that normalization depends on the US lifting its blockade on Iranian ports.
