United States Imposes New Sanctions on Iranian Oil Trade

The United States imposed new sanctions on Iran's military oil trade, penalizing eight vessels involved in transporting crude oil and petroleum products to global markets, including the tankers Flora, Hauncayo, and Ill Gap. The Treasury Department also sanctioned over 15 entities, including Worth Seen Energy Limited in Hong Kong, Symphony Shipping and Maritime Management Inc in Dubai, and Mehdiyev Trading Co. The sanctions were imposed despite a preliminary agreement between Washington and Tehran to extend the ceasefire.
