Typhoon-Resistant 16 MW Floating Wind Platform Enters Operation in China
China has put into operation the Haiyou Anlan floating platform, its first 16-megawatt offshore wind installation with a TLP system, located 136 kilometers off the coast at the mouth of the Pearl River. Designed to withstand super typhoons with winds of up to 220 kilometers per hour, the platform will generate 54 million kilowatt-hours annually and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 35,000 tons per year, as announced by CNOOC.
