Hapag-Lloyd announced the opening of a new office in Cotonou, Benin on May 20, strengthening its presence in West Africa. The Port of Cotonou serves as a key gateway to the country and neighbouring landlocked markets such as Niger and Burkina Faso, positioning Benin as an important logistics hub. According to Jesper Kanstrup, Managing Director Sub-Region Africa, the dedicated local presence aligns with the company's growth ambitions under Strategy 2030 and enables closer customer relationships.
