Pakistan's KGTL Port Plans Up to $100 million More Investment After Iran War Cargo Surge
Pakistan's Karachi Gateway Terminal, backed by Abu Dhabi Ports Group, plans up to $100 million in new investment within five years following a cargo surge triggered by the Iran war. The terminal has already completed a $60 million dredging project and is expanding container and bulk-handling facilities. CEO Khurram Aziz Khan stated the next phase will focus on expanding the container terminal, enhancing yard capacity, and investing in rail freight infrastructure to link agricultural areas to ports.
