20 Modular Bridges Shipped by Sea to Piura Due to El Niño Phenomenon
The MTC shipped 20 modular bridges in 15 containers from Callao to Paita via the Maritime Humanitarian Corridor to address potential damage from the El Niño phenomenon. Vice Minister Gabriela Carrasco Carrasco highlighted that this route avoided 160 land trips. DP World and Hapag-Lloyd supported the operation, with costs covered by private operators. This marks the corridor's first shipment.
