Queen Anne passengers observe total solar eclipse over Spain
Cunard's Queen Anne guests witnessed the total solar eclipse on Wednesday, August 12, as the rare celestial event unfolded over north-west Spain during a seven-night roundtrip voyage from Southampton. The first total solar eclipse visible from parts of Europe since 1999 briefly transformed day into night across the Northern Hemisphere. Looking ahead, Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth will be positioned for the next total solar eclipse on August 2, 2027, in Morocco and the Mediterranean respectively.
