Contecon Manzanillo has incorporated 12 GP30PT Caterpillar units for cargo inspection. The units have a four-ton capacity. The new units replace equipment that had reached the end of its useful life and contribute to ensuring the continuous flow of goods in and out.
"The renewal of our machinery responds to the growth in port activity and the need for infrastructure prepared to meet increased demand. With an investment of over 8 million pesos, we are strengthening a key process for the terminal's operation and continuing to advance our expansion project," stated José Antonio Contreras Ruiz, CEO of Contecon Manzanillo.
During 2026, the incorporation of two push-pull forklifts, one 21-ton forklift, and one electric forklift is also planned. These investments are part of the objective to increase the terminal's handling capacity to over 2 million TEU per year.
With this update, Contecon Manzanillo emphasized that it continues to strengthen its operational capacity to respond to the dynamism of the Port of Manzanillo, where efficiency in the inspection and movement of goods is an important element for the logistics chain.
