The crew of the GC-72 Buenos Aires coast guard vessel was responsible for providing security coverage for the MS Seaventure, a 111.5-meter long cruise ship, which arrived at the local port in the morning hours, after a voyage that included crossing the Atlantic Ocean from Lisbon and was monitored by the local unit's Maritime Traffic Management Center.
The official reception, which marked the beginning of the 2026/2027 cruise season in the coastal city, took place aboard the vessel itself and was attended by the Secretary of Tourism, Environment and Sports of the Nation, Daniel Scioli; the Mayor of General Pueyrredón, Guillermo Montenegro; and the Head of the Mar del Plata Coast Guard, Prefecto Mayor José Cristian Abel Vigano, among other representatives.

The national Maritime Authority also carried out various controls to ensure that the vessel's passengers could safely tour and enjoy the port area, including the traditional Banquina de los Pescadores.
In the afternoon, with the return of the crew, the Buenos Aires coast guard vessel conducted a new security coverage, this time for the departure and escort of the MS Seaventure, which continued its journey to the South Atlantic, South Georgia Islands, Antarctica, and Ushuaia.
