Personnel from the Argentine Naval Prefecture performed CPR maneuvers and managed to save the life of an 11-month-old child who was showing advanced symptoms of asphyxia and respiratory distress, in the Triángulo Moderno neighborhood of Rosario.
The dramatic event occurred this morning when officers, who were on board an institutional vehicle conducting patrol duties to prevent crime, within the framework of the "Bandera Plan," were alerted by the child's parents, who requested assistance due to the serious situation the child was experiencing.
Given the urgency, Third Assistant Ricardo Pascual Franco and First Corporal Mario Humberto Herrera immediately assisted the minor and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers in a coordinated and diligent manner, achieving that he regained breathing and showed signs of stabilization.
Due to the urgency, the prefecture personnel, accompanied by his parents, transferred him to the Children's Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition and, after receiving medical attention and a diagnosis of febrile seizure, remained under observation.
The rapid intervention of the personnel was fundamental in assisting the minor and preserving his life in a situation of extreme urgency.
