Puerto Rosales reported 200 tanker calls in eight months of 2026, reflecting the "intense activity that characterizes our ports," as reported by the Consortium for the Management of the Port of Coronel Rosales. The milestone was reached after handling the vessel Orion, registered under the flag of Belgium and launched in 2024. The ship reaffirms "the continuity of our operations and Rosales' strategic role in regional and international trade," according to the entity. The Suezmax tanker, 274 meters long, 48 meters wide, and 157,717 deadweight tons, is currently sailing towards El Segundo, United States, where it is expected to arrive on September 21. In the first half of 2026, Puerto Rosales exported 5,433,463 tons of oil, while in the same period, it mobilized 3,473,001 tons. The cargo mainly consists of Medanito crude oil produced in the Neuquén Basin. The main destinations for these exports include the United States, Brazil, and markets in Europe and Asia.
