The new multipurpose dock at Timbúes Terminal, located in the Argentine province of Santa Fe, is advancing with the fluvial block infrastructure, which will allow shaping one of the components identified as central to the multimodal project.
'The execution of the North and South Viaducts, the construction of their structures, piles, and main beams, and their connection with the continuous dock, 240 meters long by 27 meters wide, are part of an infrastructure designed for multipurpose operations, with the capacity to adapt to the new demands of commerce and industry,' communicated Timbúes Terminal.
'The design includes a fluvial platform prepared for the loading and unloading of deep-draft vessels and for agile transshipments with barge trains, incorporating technology, equipment, and engineering solutions aimed at achieving greater efficiency, reducing times, and optimizing logistical costs,' it added.
The project was designed to respond to the logistical challenges of the area, seeking to become a multimodal gateway that connects local production with the main international markets and, in turn, the world with Santa Fe's productive interior.
'The true strength lies in versatility. This dock is part of a logistical platform conceived to handle fertilizers and differentiated products, general cargo, minerals, heavy equipment, industrial supplies, and components linked to sectors such as energy and oil & gas,' specified Timbúes Terminal.
'Every pile, every beam, and every section of infrastructure incorporated brings us closer to the goal: to have a dock with unique characteristics, designed with cutting-edge design and technology standards, and prepared to support the growth of industries that will mark the next decade,' it added.
The multipurpose port is projected as a strategic center on the Paraguay-Paraná waterway, designed to support the growth of regional economies, reduce costs, optimize times, and provide logistical solutions that offer traceability and predictability to each operation.
