Dock Sud Port was chosen by the Consejo Federal de Inversiones (CFI) as the venue for the closing session of the Diploma Program in Education for Employment, which brought together more than 50 officials from the Labor, Production, and Training areas of various provinces across the country.
Participants
The event was led by Mónica Litza, chair of the Consorcio de Gestión del Puerto Dock Sud, and included the participation of Ezequiel Berrueco, executive secretary of the Instituto Provincial de Formación Laboral (IPFL); Ricardo de Gisi, director of Technical-Professional Education for Buenos Aires Province; and Carlos Lombardo, Secretary of Production of Avellaneda.
Challenges of the New World of Work
During the meeting, Litza raised the need to prepare workers for the technological, productive, and labor transformations affecting economic activities worldwide, noting that ports are adopting new technologies that create new demands for knowledge and training. In this context, she presented two initiatives driven by Dock Sud Port: Aula Puerto, aimed at training related to port operations, and Dock Sud Global, designed to strengthen companies' international positioning and generate opportunities for productive development.
Tour of the Facilities
As part of the program's closing activities, the officials learned about the operational and technological features of the port complex and toured its facilities, where they observed terminal operations and container handling.
Over 200 Enrolled in Aula Puerto
According to Cronista, the Aula Puerto initiative has already launched its first training courses, with more than 200 people enrolled in leadership, English for foreign trade, and health and safety courses, as part of an institutional strategy aimed at connecting the port with the community and adapting to the changes taking place in the world of work.
