NAVTOR has launched version 2.7.1 of its NavFleet platform, which incorporates real-time AIS data streaming. The Norway-based company uses its own digital ecosystem to capture live AIS data from vessels, allowing management teams to see where ships are and what they are doing in what the company describes as real time.
New features
This update integrates new chart layers, including IMMA, WCZ, PCA and IMO SA, which help teams understand the operating environment of vessels without switching systems. It also includes simpler file sharing and improvements aimed at closing the gap between onboard and shore-based teams.
Availability
NavFleet already offers features such as voyage tracking, port information, advanced passage plan management, digital logbook recording and analysis, chart layers and event logs, as well as additional subscription tiers for emissions, regulatory compliance and performance. Version 2.7.1 is automatically available to current NavFleet subscribers, and access to AIS streaming from the NavFleet app will be available starting in December.
