PortosRio has begun implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system that will consolidate the company's administrative, financial, human resources and legal processes onto a single platform. The project was presented on October 14 during a meeting between the Information Technology Superintendence (SUPTIN) and the Solutions Structuring and Development Management (GERCOS) with representatives from Central IT, the company contracted to supply and implement the CITSmart X² solution.
Three systems in one
PortosRio currently operates three separate systems: SSA (Starsoft), which handles financial, accounting, budgetary and asset management routines; Benner RH, used for personnel administration and payroll; and AJUS, dedicated to legal case management. With the new ERP, these functions will be integrated into a single cloud-based, web-accessible digital platform comprising 12 modules that also cover procurement, inventory, project management and performance indicator analysis, along with artificial intelligence and automation tools.
PortosRio's CEO, Flavio Vieira, noted that the initiative represents an investment in improving working conditions and strengthening the company's management. He explained that the company is investing in technology to streamline processes, integrate departments and provide employees with better work tools, as part of a transformation that also depends on staff involvement.
Implementation timeline
The rollout will take place in stages, with completion of all 12 modules expected by September 2027. The process will include platform configuration, migration of data from current systems, functional testing and employee training. As part of the initial phases, Central IT has already delivered the Executive Plan and made available the cloud environment with the new system installed. The contract with Central IT, worth a total of R$ 19 million, runs for 30 months and covers, in addition to implementation, hosting services, technical support and platform maintenance.
Information Technology Superintendent Aldo Carvalho Ribeiro stated that the ERP rollout marks a strategic milestone in PortosRio's digital transformation and that the commitment is to drive the change with technical responsibility and open dialogue. Solutions Structuring and Development Manager Junior Quintiliano highlighted that the initiative is the result of work begun in 2023, which included market research, planning and procurement of the solution, aiming to automate activities and bring together information currently scattered across the company.
