Maersk raises intermodal fuel fees by 27% across Australian states from October
A. P. Moller – Maersk will implement a 27% increase in Intermodal Fuel Fees across all Australian states effective 1st of October 2026, citing global energy price surges and Middle East security developments. The carrier, which introduced the Intermodal Fuel Fee (EFS/IFS) on 16 March 2026, will review adjustments monthly as market conditions evolve. The fee applies to Landside Transportation operations across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, and Western Australia.
