Panama Reduces Maximum Draft in Neopanamax Locks Starting in August
The Panama Canal announced new adjustments to the maximum draft in the Neopanamax locks starting August 26, when it will be 48 feet (14.63 meters), reducing to 47.5 feet (14.48 meters) from September 3. The changes respond to the monitoring of Gatun Lake levels and hydrological projections, without modifying the number of daily transits.
