Maersk raises Peak Season Surcharge for Far East Asia routes to Sri Lanka and Maldives

Maersk announced an increase in Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) for routes from Far East Asia to Sri Lanka and Maldives, effective 15th Sep 2026 (16th Sep for Vietnam, 19th Sep for South Korea). The new tariff sets charges at USD 1000 for 20-foot containers, USD 1600 for 40-foot and 45-foot dry containers. The surcharge applies to non-SPOT bookings based on Price Calculation Date and is collected on a freight paid basis.
